Pave
Pave is a nonprofit organization that works with companies and partners to build a brighter future by harvesting energy through the use of piezoelectricity. We strive as an organization to lead others to be more sustainable through the use of piezoelectricity.
Objective
To give knowledge to others about the use of piezoelectricity and how it could help the world become more sustainable.

Piezoelectricity
The Piezoelectric Effect is the ability of certain materials to generate Voltages when subjected to mechanical stress or vibrations
When piezoelectricity materials are stressed by strain or pressure due to the transfer of energy from another source, they generate Voltage. This causes a positive or negative charge to form within the piezoelectric material, and this charge is used to generate other forms of energy.

The PAVE Science Fair is a competitive event, hosted by highschools worldwide. The distinguishing characteristic of the PAVE science fair is that project entries employ the scientific method to test a hypothesis related to piezoelectricity. The PAVE Science Fair last up to a whole school year where students will meet once a week after school to learn more about piezoelectricity, sustainablity, and have ability to work with experts to help create their own working piezoelectric project. After the year of studying and working on their case study, one finalist will be a presented, where PAVE will than implement their idea into their highschool. PAVE supplies all materials to highschools that participants may need to conduct their case study.

Each winner of the PAVE Science Fair from each highschool has the ability to implement their piezoelectricity case study at their highschool with the help of professional to help create a sustainable future. Each winner at each Highschool will than compete to have a chance to recieve a full ride to Stanford Univeristy Engineering program, to be acknowledge by PAVE at all tradeshows, and on all PAVE Science Fair Brochures.
